Jill Wicklund LLC, 2023 - Present

Founded a coaching and consulting practice to help people meaningfully connect to themselves and others. Focusing on empowering individuals to navigate their professional journeys with intentionality.

The three branches of my business:

Whole-Person Career Coaching: Working with individuals to help them identify what they truly want in their careers and guiding them from ideation to actionable steps.

Leadership Maturity Development: In collaboration with my friend and longtime colleague Cara Wilson with Traction Leadership, I’m partnering with organizations to deliver leadership maturity content and coaching.

Parent Advocacy: Supporting parents in integrating their role as a parent with their careers. I’m excited to partner with PEPS to facilitate their Working Moms series, offer a career course for moms and additional workshops that bridge skills between career and parenting.

Some of my favorite people have spent years, even decades in careers that don’t work for them. Introverts working in non-stop energy outpouring roles, parents working 12 hours a day desperately wanting greater flexibility and time to be with their kids, and highly collaborative people working alone, behind a computer all day.

I know these people, and I have been one of these people. I’ve been the person cringing every time I shared my career choice, as I knew it didn’t align with my values. I’ve been the person who felt trapped in a role because I felt like I “needed” the money, but really my scarcity mindset was who needed the money. Or those years when I worked as a leader, but wasn’t actually leading with my voice, instead, I was using the voice I thought I was supposed to use.

I became a career coach to change these cycles. To support my client’s careers being effectively integrated into their lives, for my client’s careers to complement who they are, and for my clients to be authentic and courageous when leading teams, and companies.
